WOMAN HURT: A woman was taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Ryedale at about 6.20am yesterday (MON). The collision, involving a car and a van, happened on the A170 west of Kirkbymoorside at about 6.20am. The female car driver had to be freed from the car by firefighters. The van driver, aged about 60, was unhurt.
