A NORTH Yorkshire cadet squadron is enjoying a boost in new members.
Northallerton Air Training Corps (ATC) recently enrolled nine new cadets at a special ceremony led by the Rev Danny Walker.
In the last six months the 2337 (Northallerton) squadron, which takes its members from the Northallerton, Thirsk and Bedale area, has more than trebled its numbers to 30.
The cadets can take part in activities such as gliding, hill-walking and learn skills such as map-reading and aircraft identification, as well as learning about the Royal Air Force.
The squadron meets on Wednesday and Friday evenings at the TA Centre on Thirsk Road in Northallerton and is open to everyone aged between 13 and 17.
