BEAUTY QUEENS: Entries for Miss Great Britain and Miss Teen Great Britain are now being accepted, giving the opportunity for finalists to travel to Chicago, USA.
The North-East heats are now open for women aged 19 to 29, and for teens aged 13 to 18.
The pageant supports the Joshua Foundation – a charity that raises money to give children with terminal illnesses once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

ONLINE SERVICE: Organisers of events in and around the Yorkshire Dales National Park will soon be able to promote them using an online service.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has set up a What’s On section on the website to enable local organisations, clubs and individuals to advertise events and activities to a wider audience.
The search facility for visitors to browse events online will go live in the New Year, but providers are being urged to register their event now at www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/add-an-event in time for possible inclusion in the authority’s annual newspaper, the Visitor, which will be published in December.
The criteria for inclusion of events in both the online listing and the Visitor newspaper can be found on the web page.
