Richmond Hockey Club has started its season with success for both the men’s and women’s teams.

The newly reformed ladies side of the club, Richmond Roses, have had to start from scratch in Durham Clubs League Division 2, but after four games they have maximum points with a goal difference of 37.

The men’s first team have matched the women on points and are top of North East Hockey League Premier Division, again with maximum points and a goal difference of 28. Richmond men train on Tuesdays from 8pm until 9.30pm and the ladies train on Wednesdays from 8pm until 9pm both at Richmond School.

Sessions cost £3, ages from 14 upwards and all abilities welcome.
