FIREWORKS EVENT: Richmond Town Council is hosting the annual fireworks display at Richmond Castle on Monday, November 5.
Gates open at 6pm and fireworks start at 7pm.
Tickets cost £3, available from the Town Hall, Richmond tourist Information Centre, Indoor Market, West End Stores and Cross Lanes Stores.
Children under 5 go free.
Coun Clive World, chairman of the communities committee, said: “I would like to urge all parents to remember that communal displays are much safer and we don't want any children injured by fireworks in back garden displays.”
SKI TRAINING: A Richmond-based personal trainer is encouraging people to give nordic walking a go.
Steph Cook, a former international skier, can offer training specific to helping with muscle groups needed for ski holidays; can take individuals and groups on nordic walking trips in the Dales; and also offers general fitness training for peole wanting to tone up or lose weight.
Miss Cook is a fully qualified personal trainer and Nordic Walking UK instructor.
