A MAJOR first aid provider has moved to new premises in Northallerton.
The British Red Cross has moved its administration centre for Yorkshire and the first aid training centre from Zetland Street in the town to more modern premises at Northallerton Business Park on Thurston Road in Northallerton. T
he society had been in Zetland Street since January 1999, but as staff numbers decreased and several branch offices were merged into one, the organisation said it became “too big and uneconomical” to sustain.
The charity will continue to offer the same services as it did before, which includes issuing wheelchairs, overseeing events first aid staff and offering a fire and emergency support service.
