VILLAGERS are planning to embark on a walk in the dark to raise money for charity.
The two-mile walk up Thirlby Bank, above the village near Thirsk, is planned for November 2 and will raise money for Herriot Hospice Homecare.
It will start at Thirlby playing fields at 6.30pm and will lead people 900ft up a candlelit path to the top of the hill and then back down again to the sports pavilion, where there will be a raffle and refreshments.
Anyone wanting more information should contact Bob Hunter on 01845-597453. Tickets are £5.
