CANDIDATE INJURED: Julia Mulligan Conservative candidate for the post of Police and Crime Commissioner in North Yorkshire was treated in hospital after a dog bit her finger as she delivered a leaflet through the door of a house in York during campaigning. It is understood she was not badly injured.
CANCER SERVICE: Breast cancer patients are invited to a drop in session at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Catterick Garrison on Monday, November 5 between 10am and Noon for advice, information and support from specialist breast care nurses Judith Curtis and Louise Sadler.
FLOWER FESTIVAL: A flower festival at Thornton Watlass Church, near Bedale, raised £2,000 for Help for Heroes and St May’s Church.
