MOTORISTS have been warned of works which are expected to cause disruption on a main city centre through road.
Two-way traffic lights will be in place on the A690, south of North Road roundabout, in Durham, from Monday (OCT 29).
The disruption will be caused by what are said to “essential sewer repairs”.
Philippa Clark, of Northumbrian Water, said: “During the course of the work it will be necessary to have temporary traffic management in place.”
But she added: “The work has been scheduled, however, to take place during the school half-term holiday to minimise disruption.”
It is expected to take up to four days to complete the work, with motorists advised that normal traffic flow should resume by Thursday November 1.
