A NEW service will help dementia sufferers through music.
The Alzheimer’s Society in County Durham hopes the group singing sessions will provide valuable therapy .
Singing for the Brain will be held on Monday afternoons at the Cornerstones Community Centre at Chester-le-Street Methodist Church, North Burns, Chester-le-Street.
The hour-long sessions aim to give social interaction and artistic stimulation to people with an early to moderate dementia. The organizers say that attenders should be accompanied by their carer.
The first will be on Monday November 5 at 1.30pm.
