POLICE have appealed for information following the theft of £3,000 worth of fencing from a farm at Haswell Plough.
Thieves removed 60m of treated timber fencing and 20 fencing posts from land at Low Row Farm, Messine Terrace, Haswell Plough, east Durham, overnight on Sunday.
PCSO Andy Gilhooley, of Easington neighbourhood policing team, said the fence had been erected recently while electrical work was being carried out in the area.
He added: "The location where the theft took place is fairly remote and a vehicle must have been used to transport the stolen wooden items."
Anyone with information about the theft or the whereabouts of the fencing and posts is urged to contact PC Gilhooley through Durham police non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
