A TRAINING course offering residents the chance to take a first step on the ladder towards a career in youth work starts next week.
Durham County Council is offering a Level One youth work training course over three days.
Anyone over 16 years of age can apply for the course, which will look at the skills needed to work with young people between the ages of 13 and 19.
Sessions will take place at Durham Gilesgate Youth and Community Association, which is based at Durham Gilesgate Sports College, on Bradford Crescent, Gilesgate, Durham.
People wishing to attend should go along on Monday (November 21) at 6pm to find out more about the course and to register for a place.
Training will take place over three sessions, on Friday, November 25 between 5pm and 9pm; Saturday, November 26 between 9am and 5pm; and Sunday, November 27, between 9am and 5pm.
The cost of the course is £92.
