HOUSEHOLDERS are being invited to have a pre-Christmas clear out as part of a community clean-up next week.
Skips are to be placed in streets around east Durham over a five-day period so residents can dispose of some of their bulky waste.
The community clear up has been organised by housing body East Durham Homes and Morrison Facility Services and both organisations will have staff on hand to answer residents’ questions.
Skips will be in place from 10am and 2pm each day at the following locations: · Monday, November 7 – Manor Way in Peterlee, opposite McColls · Tuesday, November 8 – near Kasko House, in Blackhall · Wednesday, November 9 – opposite Wheatley Hill Community Primary School · Thursday, November 10– Kings Road, in Wingate · Friday , November 11 – Brackendale Court, in Station Town Julie Dower, customer involvement manager at East Durham Homes, said: "The community clean-up week will give residents the chance to have a clear our before Christmas and get rid of any bulky items or additional rubbish".
