FRIENDS of a young photographer who died in a tragic fall before he exhibited his work are to auction his pictures in aid of charity.
Ten of Jamie Guy’s friends have come together to organise A Night For Jamie and raise money for the Huntingtons Disease Association, a charity which the 25 year old supported.
Mr Guy died after falling from a cliff at Seaham’s North Dock on August 1.
Pal Hollie Marshall, aged 25, is helping to organise the fundraiser.
She said: "Jamie was so modest. He never wanted to show any of his photographs but he was so talented. He didn’t realise he was so talented "We are hoping to put up 10 pictures for auction. Its mainly landscapes from the North-East and some portraiture as well.
"I think he would be really pleased that his work is getting out there."
Mr Guy had hoped to fulfil his dream of becoming a professional photographer.
In advance of the auction, the group are trying to raise £200 to fund the printing and framing of the photographs.
They have set up a page on funding website IndieGoGo to help with those initial costs.
The event takes place at The Knack Club, Eastlea Road, Seaham, at 3pm on Saturday November 20. Bidding starts from £40.
