AN EXPERT on international finance is to speak at a public meeting on the growing financial crisis surrounding Greece.
Max Ziff will discuss "Greece and the Euro Crisis" at the Penthouse Suite, of Collingwood College, Durham University on Sunday, October 23 at 2.15pm.
Mr Ziff is head of Sovereign Advisory Services at financial firm Houlihan Lokey, a global leader in financial restructuring.
The firm has advised on virtually every major corporate financial disaster, including Lehman Brothers, Enron and the Icelandic bank default.
He said: "The talk will be pitched at a level everyone can understand, not just those studying finance and economics.
"I’ll take up the current crisis that has enveloped Greece as well as the background events. I’ll also touch on whether the measures taken by Greek's European neighbours and the IMF is sufficient to stop the crisis spreading to other European countries or the collapse of the Euro."
The talk is open to members of the public and entry is free. To register, telephone 0191-334 5900.
