PEOPLE in north Durham are being encouraged to get involved in helping to make their community cleaner, safer and greener.
Derwent Valley Area Action Partnership is funding eight ‘weeks in action’ throughout the area as part of an ongoing environmental campaign.
From next Monday a week of activities will be taking place in Medomsley, Ebchester and Hamsterley.
Partnership chairman, Durham County Councillor Alan Shield said: "This is a great opportunity for local residents to get involved in improving the environmental conditions in their area and making their area an even better place to live."
