A FOOTBALL team in north Durham is dressing up as Elvis Presley, Right Said Fred and Patrick Swayze to raise money.
Consett St Patrick’s Football Team is holding the Stars in their Eyes event in the church hall on Saturday June 25.
Players will be entertaining audiences with their take on famous figures from the world of pop to raise money for the team Organiser Martin Herdman is also raising money individually for Epilepsy Action as he works as a support worker for people who suffer from the condition.
Mr Herdman, 28, of Dipton, said: "It will be a great laugh and there will be a fantastic family atmosphere.
"We hope it will be good fun and raise money for a fantastic cause."
Other players will be imitating Cyndi Lauper, Rod Stewart and Garth Brooks.
There will be an audience vote to determine a winner, raffles and a karaoke afterwards.
The evening, which starts at 7pm, and entry costs £2.50 on the door but booking is advisable by emailing mlhcommunityservices@hotmail.co.uk
