FUN family activities from story times to building dens are on offer in north Durham.
Burnhope Sure Start Children’s Centre has lots going on for families with young children, including a new drop in session for new parents.
The Bouncin’ Babes drop in session is aimed at new mums, dads and carers with babies under nine months and takes place every Tuesday between 1pm and 3pm.
It is a chance to meet other parents and babies in an informal setting to chat, share advice or simply get out of the house and make new friends.
Sure Start family worker Joan Webb said: "Come along and join us. It gets you out and about meeting other parents and its great fun for the children."
On Wednesdays, between 11am and 12 noon, families are invited to a new free story session.
Family worker Amanda Jackson said: "It’s a fun and creative session for parents and their children. We read a story, sing songs and rhymes, have a healthy lunch and make a fun, and sometimes messy, craft."
On Fridays, between 1pm and 2pm, there is a new ‘Outdoor Explorers’ session where families can enjoy fun activities outside in the fresh air.
It will include messy play, bubbles, gloop, outdoor paints, waterways and den building.
