THE story of a village in the North-East has been depicted in stained glass.
Pelton Fell Community Partnership (PFCP) is celebrating its heritage with an art project that features its past, present and future.
Community groups including the local history, art and youth groups and the public were consulted on what they would like to see in the artwork.
It was designed and created by one of the partnership's volunteers, John Hunt.
Simeon Ripley, community partnership manager of PFCP, said: "The stained glass art will be the central feature of the Brockwell Centre in Pelton Fell and will inspire the art and youth groups to be creative in their work and allow visitors to learn more about the village's history."
The stained glass is in five panels measuring 7.5m wide and 1.5m tall.
It went on display with a blessing and dedication by Reverend David Tully of Chester-le-Street Parish Church.
