COLLEGE students are appealing for donations to help them rejuvenate a school garden.
As part of their course, 12 college students are making improvements to the garden used by Year Two and Three pupils at Roseberry Primary School, in Chester-le-Street.
The students are appealing to members of the public to help them out with donations including herbs plants, planting pots, vegetable seeds, wood for fencing and bird boxes.
The students are all taking part in the Prince’s Trust programme at East Durham College’s Houghall Campus, in Durham City.
Team Facilitator Greg Corcoran said: "This garden will form the community project which is a central element of the Team Programme.
"It is an ambitious project and we are going to need some support. We will be doing some fundraising activities but a lot of our support comes from donations of goods.
"It is a very meaningful project and will benefit many young people now and long into the future."
If you’d like to help with a donation please call Mr Corcoran on 07852 774 750 or via the Houghall Campus reception on 0191 375 4700.
