RETIRED police officers will get together one more time at a reunion planned for next month.
Durham Constabulary is hosting a Retirees Reunion event at force headquarters in Durham City on Saturday, June 12.
All former officers and staff are invited, along with serving personnel who wish to attend.
The event is designed to be a social get-together, to enable retired employees to renew old acquaintances, but there will be a number of attractions on the day, including a display of police cars and motor bikes, a demonstration by the dog section and entertainment from the police band and choir.
Chief Constable Jon Stoddart said: "This is an important event which helps us keep in touch with former colleagues, who act as ambassadors for the force in local communities".
Admission to the event, which takes place from 2pm to 5pm, is by ticket only.
Members of the National Association of Retired Police Officers (or their widows and widowers) should apply to Mrs Angie Crawford, 8 Warwick Place, Peterlee or via angiechilton@yahoo.com.
All other applications should be made to Colin Appleby, 21 Lea Rigg, West Rainton, or appleby.colin@btinternet.com.
