A NEW care home with panoramic views of the countryside was officially opened today.
Rushyfields Care Centre in Brandon Lane, Brandon, was opened by Durham County Council cabinet member for adult services Councillor Morris Nicholls The new 42-bedded care home, which has created create dozens of new jobs in the Durham area, is situated on the site of the Old Hollygarth Care Home.
The rooms have en-suite facilities and flat screen televisions.
The home provides care for people aged 40 years and over, including those suffering from dementia.
Each resident is assessed before and on admission with an individual tailored care plan developed.
The care home, which is part of the European Care Group, will start taking admissions from next Monday.
