STUDENTS at a Durham school are taking part in an annual maths week.
Framwellgate School Durham’s maths week began today and runs until Friday, February 11.
The aim is to allow students aged 11 to 19 to connect more with maths and learn how it can be applied in everyday life.
This year’s theme is imaths and youngsters will learn how maths is key to new technologies.
There will be hands-on activities, outside speakers and events across the school’s curriculum.
Last year’s theme was sport.
A school spokesman said: "Maths week is an inspirational event for both staff and students, showcasing the application of maths to the world around us."
