THREE schools shared the honours at a county athletics championships.
The County Durham Sportshall Athletics Championships were held at the Louisa Centre, in Stanley, on Tuesday, January 18.
Belmont School won the year seven boys’ and year eight girls’ titles, Durham Johnston School picked up the year seven girls’ crown and Park View Community School, in Chester-le-Street, came away with the year eight boys’ prize.
All four winning teams will represent County Durham at the regional championships next month.
Anita Steven, head of PE at Belmont School, said: "We have had an absolutely fantastic 10 days, winning every competition we have entered.
"I cannot tell you how proud I am of our pupils and the effort and training they have put into achieving these titles.
"They are a credit not only to the school but representing County Durham is one of the biggest honours any student can achieve in sport."
