A SILENT film screening, with melodramatic background music, will be staged at the United Reformed Church in Durham, next month.
The main event is Harold Lloyd’s The Freshman, presented by Durham film archivist David Williams, with well-known local musician George Hetherington providing the piano accompaniment.
It also features a pie and pea supper.
The screening is at the Waddington Street church, on Wednesday February 16, with the first reel rolling from 7.30pm.
Organisers would prefer people to book tickets in advance so they can estimate catering needs.
Tickets, costing £6, which includes the pie and pea supper, can be booked by ringing 0191-384 2448, or can be bought at the door, on the night.
