A SERIES of courses giving an introduction to local history is to take place next month.
Dr Dorothy Hamilton is to run a five-week course on the history of North and South Bailey, in Durham City.
The course takes place at Alington House, in North Bailey starting on Friday, February 11, with two-hour classes starting at 10.15am each week.
Further short courses are also planned on How to Use Archives, Durham City at the end of the 19th Century, and some important figures in the history of industrial relations, including Joseph Love and William Crawford.
