PEOPLE looking to make a healthy start to the New Year have been offered free sessions in east Durham.
Residents across County Durham can take advantage of the sessions at Healthworks in Paradise Lane, Easington Colliery, until Monday January 10.
The healthy living centre will provide support and advice to anyone who wishes to become more active, stop smoking, lose weight, eat more healthily, increase their confidence or seek learning or employment opportunities.
Healthworks co-ordinator Fiona Maher said: "The New Year is a great time to make lifestyle changes, whether it is to start getting fit, eating healthy or learn a new skill.
"Our New Year, New You campaign encourages people to stick to their New Year resolutions, as nearly nine million UK adults make a resolution, yet a third of these people lose their resolve within a week.
"By coming to Healthworks and speaking to the experts on hand, people can find an approach that’s right for them, and stand a far greater chance of successfully achieving their goals.".
Anyone who would like further information on the sessions and activities on offer should call Healthworks on 0191-527 4157, or pop into the centre.
