MOTORISTS are being warned of road closures due to the bad weather.
Four routes in County Durham have been temporarily closed to traffic due to snow and ice.
The following roads are: affected Butterwick to Fishburn closed from the junction with A689, Pelaw Avenue, Kip Hill, Stanley between A693 East Stanley and the A6076 Shield Row, Peth Bank in Lanchester up to Burnhope and Jaw Blades Bank closed between Burnhope and the A691.
A spokesman for Durham County Council said: "The roads are being monitored and will be reopened as soon as possible. It is hoped that Jaws Blade Bank will be open today."
