A STUDENT charity is inviting community groups and other worthy causes to apply for funding.
Members of the Durham University Charities Kommittee raised more than £500,000 last year, with a serious of events held throughout the year.
The student-run body, which helped more than 200 organisations last year, is now inviting applications for funding during the coming year and is hoping for more local charities to apply.
Manager Mel Punton said: "This year is going to be brilliant.
"We would really like to see more funding go to local charitable organisations".
For an application form, visit the website www.duck.dsu.org.uk/charities/apply/ or e-mail duck.charities@dur.ac.uk or call 0191-334 1986.
The closing date for application is March 31 and funds will be given to successful applicants in June.
