A FREE advice service is launching a weekly outreach session in a former pit village .
Chester-le-Street District Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) will hold the session on Tuesdays in Sacriston Library, Plawsworth Road, Sacriston, from February 2.
The general advice session will run from 10am to noon and clients will be seen on a first come first served basis. No appointment is needed.
The bureau has been running outreach sessions at Ouston and Grange Villa for several months.
Chester-le-Street District Citizens Advice Bureau is a charity that provides advice people need for the problems they face and is committed to improving its service.
A spokeswoman for the bureau said: "Currently, many clients travel from Sacriston to seek advice at the Main Bureau in Front Street, Chester-le-Street.
"The provision of an additional outreach session in the centre of Sacriston will improve access to the service for local people.
"This venture adds to the many ways in which local people can access the services of Chester-le-Street District CAB. ''
The current advice sessions are: Monday (not bank holidays) 9.30am to 12.30pm, Grange Villa Community Enterprise Centre; Tuesday (From Feb 2nd) Open Session for the public, 10am to noon, Sacriston Library; Open Session for the public, main bureau, Front Street, Chester-le-Street, from 10am.
Wednesday Open Session for the public 9.30am to 12.30pm Ouston Community Centre; Thursday Open Session for the public f rom 10am, main bureau, Front Street, Chester-le-Street.
Friday, by apppintment only, main bureau, Front Street, Chester-le-Street.
