A FRAMED England football shirt signed by David Beckham was among a haul of football memorabilia and jewellery stolen during a burglary.

Police are appealing for help in tracing the items stolen from a house in Durham City which were worth thousands of pounds.

The haul also included a second England football shirt and England rugby shirt, both framed and both signed by players.

The burglary took place between Friday, January 15 and Monday, January 18.

Also taken were two gold Rolex watches - a women’s model with diamonds on the bezel and the shoulder of the strap and a men’s plain watch, as well as a Rolex ring watch, the band of which is in the design of a watch strap, with diamonds used instead of numerals on the watch face.

Other items taken include: a Chopard "Happy Diamond" ring and necklace, both featuring a heart shape encrusted with diamonds; Armani and Gucci cufflinks; a Villeroy Boch basket design china dinner service and television sets, as well as £3,000 in cash.

PC Gary Thompson, based in Durham City, said: "I would appeal to anyone who is offered any of these items, or has information regarding their whereabouts, to contact police or the independent charity Crimestoppers."
