A DRIVER suffered a fractured collar bone and a fracture to a bone in his back when his Land Rover crashed and overturned.
The accident happened outside East Edmondsley Farm, on the road from Edmondsley to Holmside, near Chester-le-Street, County Durham, at 10.44pm on Monday (Jan18) The driver, his wife and another woman, all in their fifties and from Chester-le-Street, were trapped in the vehicle and were freed by firefighters.
All were taken to the University Hospital of North Durham in Durham City. The driver’s wife suffered minor injuries and the second passenger was given a check-up. Two fire crews from Durham City attended the incident.
