SHOPPERS are being urged to recycle their Christmas cards.
A Christmas card collection box has been placed in the Prince Bishops shopping centre, in Durham.
Cards dropped off there will be recycled by The Woodland Trust.
Centre manager Richard Toynbee said: "Recycling is an important environmental activity and we should all try to do our bit to help."
The box will be at the shopping centre until the end of January.
