A CHARITABLE group has celebrated 65 years of good works.
The Inner Wheel Club of Durham marked its 65th anniversary at a meeting held on Thursday, October 15, when president Mary Rees brought along a birthday cake, which was cut by Muriel Heron, the club’s longest serving member.
The club aims to encourage friendship and help those in need, often through working with Rotary clubs.
Forthcoming events include a musical concert by students of Durham University’s Hatfield College and a Christmas fair.
