HALF-TERM football fun is on offer for budding young players next week.
Coaches from the SAFC Foundation, the community arm of Sunderland AFC, are running courses in County Durham and on Wearside.
Sessions designed for outfield players are at Sherburn Leisure Centre, off the B1283, Front Street, in Sherburn Village, near Durham, and at Crowtree Leisure Centre, at The Bridges, in Sunderland city centre.
They run simultaneously, on Monday and Tuesday, October 26 and 27, from 10am - 3pm, with a £25 charge.
The next Craig Gordon or Marton Fulop can hone their skills on specialist goalkeeping classes at Sunderland’s training ground, the Academy of Light, off the A1018 Shields Road, at Whitburn Moor, near Sunderland, on Thursday and Friday, October 29 and 30.
They runs from 1 - 3pm each day, with a £20 charge.
Both outfield and goalkeeping courses are aimed at youngsters in the six to 14 age bracket.
There is also a mini soccer drop-in session, at Crowtree Leisure Centre, on Wednesday October 28, from 10am. There is no need to pre-book, while the charge is £3.
