FOODS from afar are on offer with the return of a city’s continental market.
The Continental Food Market, featuring produce from nations such as Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Poland and Iran, will be in Durham Market Place until Sunday, October 25.
It was officially opened on Thursday by Coun Dennis Southwell, the Mayor of Durham.
The continental market comes to Durham twice a year.
Colin Wilkes, managing director of Durham Markets, said: "We’re delighted to see the return of the continental market just in time for Christmas. This season’s event looks all set to be another great success."
The continental market will be open from 9am to 5pm Thursday to Saturday and between 10am and 4pm on Sunday.
