THE owners of a gym are inviting fitness fanatics to try out new machines that use the latest technology to help burn off calories.
John Pilkington and Chris Smith of Result Fitness in The Gates Shopping Centre, Durham City, have bought new High Intensity Interval (HIT) machines.
Mr Pilkington said: “We are are two local lads, who after many years of hard work finally managed to open our gym in Durham City.
“We take a very personal approach to our gym and are always striving to ensure all our members achieve their fitness goals and looking for the latest methods and technology available to help them do this.
“With this in mind we have just purchased some new machines and are the only facility in the Durham area to have these.
“The HIT machine allows members to burn the maximum amount of calories in only a 20 minute workout using the latest technology.”
A corporate event on Friday (September 25) was attended by several teams of four, including from Durham Police, Tesco's, Marks & Spencer's, New Look, Santander and Star Bucks.
The winning team wins 40 free sessions worth £300, while the individual who burned the most gets ten sessions worth £75.
