A CHURCH is to host a giant Christmas card exhibition this weekend (December 13-14).
St Mary’s Church, in West Rainton, near Durham City, will be open to visitors on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.
Members of the public are invited to view all the competition entries submitted by businesses and community groups.
Mince pies, mulled wine, tea and coffee will also be available and entry is free.
The church will host the village carol service on Monday (December 15) at 6.30pm, a quiet and reflective Christmas service on Monday, December 22, at 7.30pm, communion at 7pm on Christmas Eve and a Christmas morning service at 10am.
All are welcome to all services. For more information, visit the church’s Facebook page.
Last year, the church staged a successful Christmas tree festival and other events to celebrate its 150th anniversary.
