Houghton pub team's charity effort
A SPONSORED darts team has raised £2,000 for good causes.
Regulars at the Prince of Wales pub, in Houghton-le-Spring, sponsored the pub’s darts team in the recent Durham Lions tournament, now in its 34th year.
Their effort alone raised £2,000, which was presented to Durham Lions for distribution to various charities and causes.
The Prince of Wales has won the tournament’s top trophy, for the most sponsorship raised, 13 years in a row.
