CHILDREN at a north Durham school are competing to turn a profit from a tenner.
Youngsters at Kelloe Community Primary School, in Kelloe, are taking part in the Tenner Challenge, a nationwide enterprise contest.
Children are given £10 each and challenged to make as much profit as possible over a month.
To promote the challenge, a £10 note is being passed around the country relay-style. It started with Duncan Bannatyne in Glasgow and will finish at the Bank of England.
Today (Monday, February 10), chef and entrepreneur Mark Earnden was on hand as the relay reached Kelloe.
Kelloe youngsters have been selling jelly and ice cream, second-hand toys and cakes and organising games.
