A FAMILY event exploring life during the Second World War will take place this weekend (Saturday, February 8).
Beamish Museum will stage a free 1940s day at Langley Park Primary School on Saturday from 1pm to 4pm.
There will be 1940s makeovers, entertainment and refreshments and villages are invited to share memories of the period.
The event is being held ahead of half-term activities at Beamish to mark the opening a new 1940s-style farm and is part of the museum’s Celebrating Community Heritage project.
Entry is free and booking is not required. The school is off Front Street, Langley Park, near Durham.
