IT was party time as an old people’s home celebrated the 100th birthday of its oldest resident.
Grace Gibbs has been living at Lindisfarne Care Home at Ouston, near Chester-le-Street, County Durham, for the last six years.
A special tea was laid on for Mrs Grace, her fellow residents, family and friends.
Mrs Gibbs, who used to live in Chester-le-Street, was a pharmacist during her working life.
And she was delighted to receive a message of congratulations from Buckingham Palace.
Mrs Gibbs, who enjoys music, is two years older than the home’s next most elderly resident.
