A HOSPICE is celebrating the work of its 360 volunteers.
St Cuthbert’s Hospice, in Durham, is taking part in National Volunteer Week, which runs until Friday (June 7).
An event to thank volunteers was held at the hospice, in Merryoaks, today (Tuesday, June 4).
Chief executive Paul Marriott said: “We simply could not continue to provide our special kind of care to members of the local community without the overwhelming support and hard work from people in every facet of the hospice’s work – and our volunteers are key to that.
“Volunteers truly are the heart and soul of St Cuthbert’s Hospice.”
