A SERIES of courses is taking place during the summer for people wanting to improve their health.
Health professionals from Pioneering Care Partnership in Newton Aycliffe will provide courses in Bowburn Community Centre, Durham Road, Bowburn, with funding from East Durham Rural Corridor Area Action Partnership (AAP).
A Shape Up Your Life course starts on Monday, June 10, running from 10.30am to noon, with advice on losing weight and nutrition. The cost is £1 per person per session.
A series of free one-hour Walking for Health walks will start on Tuesday, June 11, at 10.30am.
A free Nia Dance taster session will be held later that day, from 4pm to 5pm. The cost is £2.
Free Check 4 Life health checks are also available for people aged 40 to 74.
The AAP contributed £20,000 to the project.
