NEWCASTLE United FC has won a Green Hospital Award for its catering, hospitality and banqueting offer at St James’ Park. The club is carbon neutral. The awards were announced at Reading’s Madejski Stadium.
RTS AWARDS: Young broadcasters and filmmakers were honoured at the Royal Television Society North East and Borders awards, held at Sunderland University. Schools and colleges from across the region won prizes. Rhys Stevens, from Hartlepool Sixth Form College, picked up the entertainment award for his film Skyhigh.
IRVING BERLIN: Durham University’s Grey College Choir will perform Say It With Music: The Life and Songs of Irving Berlin at Holgate House, off South Road, Durham, on Sunday, June 16, at 2.15pm.
