PEOPLE in Chester-le-Street are being invited to have their say on local issues.
The South Pelaw Residents Association hopes to attract more residents to its meetings.
These are held on the third Thursday of each month (except August and December) at 7.30pm in the Holyoake Community Centre.
Meetings are attended by councillor Tracie Smith, who gives updates on council news and the police, who report on local crime.
John Shiell is the chairman of the association and Thelma Barnes is the secretary.
A spokesman said: “Residents are welcome to attend and the meeting lasts usually for an hour.
“It is a good opportunity to discuss what is going on, in and around South Pelaw.”
