UPMARKET retailer Marks and Spencer has unveiled full details of its new Durham store, which will open next month.
The 41,000sq ft store, at the Arnison Centre, in Pity Me, will include clothing, beauty, homeware and food sections, plus a cafe.
One hundred new jobs will be created.
The store, which opens on Thursday, June 6, will replace Marks and Spencer’s existing Simply Food store, elsewhere on the retail park.
There will be a 13,400sq ft food hall, three times bigger than the Simply Food store, with an in-store bakery; a cafe with seating for 92 people; a men’s and women’s fashion department; and a homeware section.
Store manager Paul Atkinson said: “We are thrilled to be in the final stages of unveiling our new full line store to our customers.”
