FREE activities are being offered to children and adults at two leisure centres this weekend.
On Saturday (May18) Leisureworks – the Derwentside’s Trust for Sport and the Arts - will hold an open day at The Louisa Centre in Stanley and Consett’s Belle Vue Leisure and Swim Centre.
The open day at The Louisa Centre will take place between 8am and 4.30pm. Activities include free swimming in the main pool, entry to the Lifestyle Fitness Gym, and adult exercise classes including Virtual Spinning.
Children can try gymnastics, trampolining, squash or racketball, archery or football.
Other free offers include entry to The Louisa Lagoon and Little Lagoon soft play, cheerleading and street dance sessions.
Belle Vue’s open day is between 9.30am and 4.30pm. Adult fitness classes – Zumba, Spin ‘n’ Tone, Pump FX, and Bootcamp – will be on offer.
Children can enjoy football and trampolining coaching sessions. Squash and racketball coaching will also be available for all ages.
Entry to the Imagination Playground and snooker and pool tables will be free all day.
Belle Vue Swim Centre will be hosting a free family swim from 2pm to 4pm, which includes use of the inflatables and aqua slide.
