VILLAGERS are invited to run the rule over plans for a proposed new housing development.
The Durham Villages Regeneration Company, a partnership between the county council and developers Keepmoat, has submitted a planning application for 43 new homes on land south of Oakfield Crescent, Bowburn, near the village primary school.
Local people can view plans for the development at Bowburn Community Centre, in Durham Road, on Tuesday (May 21), from 3.15pm to 6.30pm.
STRAWBERRY TEAS: A fundraising strawberry tea and raffle event for the St Cuthbert’s Hospice 25th anniversary appeal takes place at Cooper Hall, Witton Gilbert, on Saturday June 15, from 2pm to 5.30pm.
Tickets, costing £4, are now available at the village Post Office, by ringing 0191-371 2161, or from the hall, on a Tuesday, between 10am and 3.30pm, or Wednesday, from 1pm to 4pm.
