HISTORY TALK: The Durham branch of the Historical Association will welcome Professor Jackie Eales, president of the Historical Association, on Tuesday, May 21. Prof Eales will deliver a talk titled The Campden Wonder of 1662: the murder and miraculous deliverance of William Harrison. The talk will take place in St Giles church hall, Gilesgate, Durham, at 6pm. Entry is free. All are welcome.
MUSEUM OPEN: The Durham Museum and Heritage Centre, on North Bailey, Durham, will be open from 2pm to 4.30pm each day over the late May Bank Holiday weekend and from 2pm to 4.30pm daily from June 1 to 30. There is a small admission charge. For more information, call 0191-384-5589.
